Nashville Entrepreneur Center is seeking a PR and Content Coordinator to join our marketing team and help us fulfill our vision of helping make Nashville the best city in America to start, launch and grow businesses. It’s our mission to help founders realize their dreams by delivering critical resources throughout their entrepreneurial journey. And the marketing team plays a vital role in keeping the agency top of mind as we recruit the country’s top innovators to our city.

This position will report to the VP, Marketing Communications and play an integral role developing written and visual content, managing overall editorial calendars by creating a variety of material to curate across many channels and be the dedicated social media manager.

Types of content may include founder features and highlights, EC impact summaries, program overviews and economic development stories laid out in social media posts, digital newsletters, social media toolkits, blogs, announcements and press releases--all to support program activities, PR activity and entrepreneurial stories to generate program leads, showcase impact and results to donors as we raise visibility of the organization among a variety of stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

• Content Creation: Ability to create and manage editorial plans, craft catchy copy in multiple formats and mediums, and conceptualize how deliverables fit within an overall marketing strategy

o Develop blog and social calendar and write/assign content to writers o Design and manage first-class digital content, including videos, infographics, blogs, and data visualization in order to ensure optimal content delivery to target audiences across multiple channels. o Identify gaps in our content and recommend new topics

• Social Media Management: Daily management of multiple channels to keep a steady pulse of timely and relevant content that drives engagement; must balance a variety of content that responds to multiple needs of the organization

o Ability to assess, report and respond to the online community in a timely manner o Reporting metrics monthly

• Graphic Design: Use of Canva and/or Adobe product suite to produce in-house visual content to accompany written work

o Utilizing in-house tools to report and respond to social media analytics across all channels

• Project Management: Ability to prioritize multiple deliverable streams and manage many moving parts to keep projects on track

• Media & PR:

o Support PR strategy for press releases and media placements for traditional and non-traditional publications o Ensure company branding and messaging is consistent and positively reflected across all communication, materials, channels, social streams and media placements o Conduct surveys to understand marketing needs o Monitor web traffic and engagement (e.g. conversions and bounce rates) and collaborate with team to monitor and optimize online experience o Coordinate with design teams to illustrate articles o Follow industry-related news and generate ideas around trending topics o Review and update published content as needed o Create style guides and updates messaging matrix to use and share with others as reference o Proofread and edit written pieces before publication o Schedule social media posts o Collaborate with team on partner communications and messaging o Ensure consistent use of terminology, phrasing and tone across content throughout
