As a member of the Blueprint Title team, you will help us lead the charge in proving that the real estate closing industry is ready for novel technology, lower pricing, and better service.
As a Senior Accountant, you will:
Perform full-cycle accounting responsibilities to include monthly consolidated financial statements, account and bank reconciliations, vendor payments, and general ledger entries. Manage month-end close process, internal and external reporting to investors, and annual audits. Maintain periodic reports summarizing business and financial activities. Assist with various regulatory reporting requirements. Perform ad-hoc analysis and research. As a member of the Finance team for a rapidly expanding start-up, you will get exposure to opportunities for professional growth and development!

What you may work on:

  • Month-end close, including consolidation process, in collaboration with our Staff Accountant and Director of Finance for both our Title and Underwriter business units
  • Compiling and issuing various financial reports for both internal and external stakeholders
  • Responsible for in-house bookkeeping and assisting People Operations with running payroll
  • Responsible for daily review of AR, Underwriter splits, premiums share, and other invoice items and monthly COGS reporting
  • Completing back-office functions of both accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Preparing and assisting with management reports, including daily revenue and monthly department budget reports
  • Process improvement – ensuring strong controls and accurate accounting across various technical topics

What we are looking for in you:

  • Bachelor's Degree and professional accounting designation preferred
  • 3-5 years of accounting experience
  • Intermediate knowledge of QBO
  • Knowledge of U.S. GAAP
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Real estate or insurance industry experience would be an asset
