Sr. Integrations Solutions Engineer, ERP / Banking Systems

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and customer-focused Sr. Integrations Solutions Engineer to join our team. In this role, you will act as the technical expert during the pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales processes, helping customers integrate our platform with their systems. You will collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Implementation teams to deliver customized integration solutions that meet business and technical requirements. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who thrives in a fast-paced, independent work environment.

Built is scaling fast, and seamless integrations are one of our top strategic priorities. This role sits at the center of that focus - helping lenders connect their core systems to Built’s platform through APIs, custom tooling, and hands-on solutioning.

Key Responsibilities

Customer-Facing Integration Support

  • Collaborate with clients to understand their integration needs and develop appropriate solutions.
  • Act as the technical lead during the onboarding and implementation phases.
  • Deliver product demos focused on integration capabilities.

Solution Architecture & Implementation

  • Design, build, and support API-based, ETL, and middleware-driven integrations with third-party platforms (e.g., ERP, CRM, cloud services).
  • Develop integration specifications, sequence diagrams, and data mapping documentation.
  • Ensure data accuracy, system performance, and security compliance.

Technical Expertise & Troubleshooting

  • Provide deep technical insight into integration processes and best practices.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve integration-related issues in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Assist clients in testing and validating integrations.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Work with Product and Engineering teams to communicate customer requirements and influence roadmap decisions.
  • Partner with Customer Success to ensure successful adoption and satisfaction.

Qualifications

Required

  • 3+ years in a Solutions Engineer, Integration Engineer, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, Webhooks, and authentication methods (OAuth2, JWT, etc.).
    Proficiency in scripting languages such as Python, JavaScript, or shell scripting.
  • Experience with integration platforms (e.g., MuleSoft, Workato, Zapier) or middleware.
  • Hands-on experience integrating with core banking or financial ERP systems such as Finastra, FIS, Jack Henry, or Fiserv.
  • Must be an independent, self-motivated individual who can take initiative and drive projects with minimal supervision.
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Bonus if you’ve worked as a developer or architect and want to stay hands-on while owning customer outcomes.

Built’s salary range for this position is $125,000-$170,000 USD per year. The pay range is designed to accommodate upward mobility in the role, therefore it encompasses the full span of proficiency levels for this role and we believe that the midpoint of the range is competitive in the market. Salary is just one component of Built's total compensation package for employees.
