Project Coordinator:

The Greater Nashville Venture Capital Association (GNVCA) is seeking a Project Coordinator with exceptional administrative, communication and people skills to join our team.

The GNVCA is a leading organization dedicated to advancing the venture capital industry ecosystem in Middle Tennessee. Established with seed funding from Vanderbilt University in 2023, the GNVCA brings together the venture capital community and markets Middle Tennessee's position as an attractive hub for investment. Through networking events, educational programs and advocacy efforts, the GNVCA is in place to drive economic growth and innovation in Nashville and the wider region.

Overview of Responsibilities:

This role requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment. The responsibilities of the Project Coordinator include:

Project Management: Oversee and coordinate the planning, execution, and completion of various projects, ensuring they align with organizational goals and timelines, including providing targeted research, developing materials and presentations, providing support for mass communications, and planning membership events.

Stakeholder Communication: Act as a liaison between internal teams, portfolio companies, and external partners, facilitating clear, consistent, timely, and service-oriented communication and assistance.

Data Collection, Analysis, and Reporting: Gather and analyze project data, preparing reports and presentations for senior management and investors.

Event Coordination: Organize and support events, meetings, and workshops, ensuring all logistics are efficiently handled.

Social Media Communications and Management: Manage and execute social media communications and strategy, including creating engaging content, designing graphics, coordinating social media post scheduling, monitoring social media channels, responding to audience inquiries, and tracking online performance metrics and trends.

Office Management: Provide general office organization, supply management, vendor maintenance (including computer/IT and copier), administrative and bookkeeper functions support.

Administrative Support: Support the Executive Director, including managing calendar, facilitating the scheduling of meetings, completing professional filings, making travel arrangements, preparing expense and financial reports, managing contacts, and managing organizational correspondence.

Expectations:

The GNVCA seeks a highly organized professional with excellent administrative and people skills. Ideally, the Project Coordinator has experience in executive administration, office management, constituent services, public relations, data and/or event management. Good verbal and written communications skills and the ability to multitask are required. Event planning, social media and/or design experience is preferred.

This is a full-time, exempt position requiring a commitment of 40 hours per week. While the standard workweek is 40 hours, additional hours may be necessary based on project demands and organizational needs. Flexibility and willingness to work beyond standard hours are essential in this role.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree.

3+ years of office experience.

Strong tech, PowerPoint and Excel skills.

Excellent written, verbal, and listening communication skills using pleasant interpersonal skills.

High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to proof one's own work as well as the work of others.

Able to assess workload and re-prioritize as needed, handling multiple tasks under tight deadlines.

A background check as a condition of employment.
