Our Rise&Walk InClinic system is FDA‑registered in the U.S. and is serving patients across the country daily. Our Rise&Walk InHome is an NIH‑funded project now moving toward first‑in‑home trials. We are expanding the team to accelerate EU launch and next‑gen product development.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a driven and multidisciplinary engineer to lead the design, integration, testing, and support of electrical and controls systems for our innovative medical rehabilitation devices. This role is highly cross functional and works closely with mechanical, software, and production teams to ensure reliable system performance from prototype through production.

The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in electrical and embedded control systems, PLC programming in Ladder, ST, C/C++, a working knowledge of medical device quality and compliance standards (IEC 60601, FDA), and thrives in a fast-paced, hands-on environment. This is a critical role that contributes to both R&D and production support.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, test, and support electrical systems, controls hardware, and electrical components
  • Lead integration of PLC-based control systems, including programming and troubleshooting
  • Support the design and testing of embedded control logic and real-time system responses for motors, sensors, and user interfaces.
  • Build and maintain system-level wiring diagrams, schematics, and BOM documentation
  • Work cross-functionally with mechanical, software, and manufacturing teams on new product development
  • Troubleshoot system-level issues in production and field-deployed devices
  • Assist with regulatory documentation, risk assessment, and compliance

Basic Qualifications:

  • B.S. in Electrical, Embedded or Mechatronics Engineering.
  • 0‑3 years of professional or co‑op experience assisting in PLC design, development, and full-system creation and integration.
  • ​Experience contributing to the architecture and design (architecture, design patterns, reliability, and scaling) of new and current systems.
  • Proficiency with Solidworks (CAD) and Git‑based version control.
  • Solid C/C++ on STM32, NXP, TI or similar MCUs; Understanding of ladder diagram logic.
  • Clear written and verbal communication; able to draft test reports and DHF documentation.
  • Authorization to work in the USA
  • Fluent in English

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Coursework/projects in robotics, motor control or medical electronics.
  • Exposure to PLC Programs (i.e. B&R Industrial Automation, Siemens)
  • Familiarity with IEC 60601, ISO 13485 and/or IEC 62304.
  • Understanding of cabinet layout design, UL requirements, and best practices for component selection.
  • Cloud-based applications understanding (i.e. - AWS IoT) and data transfer methods.

Compensation & Benefits:

  • Base salary: $70,000 - $85,000 (depending on experience)
