Title: TTAC Operations Coordinator

A key LaunchTN initiative is the Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium (TTAC), a statewide technology transfer and commercialization support network. TTAC empowers faculty and student innovators at Tennessee higher education institutions to bring their groundbreaking research to market by providing resources, expertise, and connections to bridge the gap between academia and industry, fostering a thriving innovation ecosystem within Tennessee’s universities.

Position Overview:
LaunchTN is seeking a detail-oriented TTAC Operations Coordinator to support the technology advancement team with program implementation, data management, compliance, and internal process improvement. This role will focus on three key areas: (1) data management and reporting; (2) program and system administration; and (3) stakeholder collaboration and support. The TTAC Operations Coordinator will ensure smooth operational workflows, help improve internal systems, and contribute to the efficient execution of TTAC initiatives across Tennessee’s universities and research institutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Management & Reporting
- Own the data collection and reporting processes from partner institutions, ensuring accuracy and providing a live, up-to-date overview of the TTAC Technology Dashboard.
- Manage documentation and record-keeping systems for technology materials, maintaining organized digital files, databases, and repositories in compliance with best practices for data management.
- Develop tracking mechanisms, generate progress reports, and communicate updates on quarterly goals and assignments to the TTAC team and stakeholders.
- Support the TTAC team in responding to data requests by gathering, analyzing, and presenting information in a clear and concise manner.
- Program & Administration Support
- Oversee the development and management of program applications, including designing forms, defining eligibility criteria, and ensuring a smooth application process.
- Administer the software environment used by TTAC, ensuring smooth operation, troubleshooting technical issues, and managing user access.
- Maintain and update the TTAC Wiki and Tennessee Innovation Exchange platform, ensuring these resources are comprehensive and up-to-date for the TTAC team, partner institutions, and stakeholders.
- Provide marketing and event support, including coordinating logistics, preparing materials, promoting TTAC initiatives, and assisting with the setup and coordination of virtual events (e.g., Zoom meetings, webinars, and other online collaborations) to ensure smooth execution of both in-person and digital activities.
- Manage expense tracking and processing for TTAC team and stakeholder travel, including organizing receipts, submitting reimbursements, and supporting invoice documentation.
- Take meeting minutes and document key discussions, decisions, and action items for TTAC team meetings.
- Program & Administration Support
- Act as a liaison for the Office of Sponsored Research Programs (OSRP) or equivalent at partner institutions, facilitating the collection of contracting materials and administrative processes related to technology transfer and commercialization.
- Support the contracting process, including overseeing the scope of work, ensuring compliance with contractual terms, and tracking progress on operating contracts between LaunchTN and TTAC institutions.
- Assist with TTAC grant proposals by gathering necessary information, preparing documentation, and supporting proposal submission.
- Provide marketing and event support, coordinating logistics, preparing materials, and promoting TTAC programs to the appropriate audiences.
Compensation & Perks
- Salary Pay Range: $55-65K, based on experience and qualifications

This position is supported through a two-year contract under the Tennessee Technology Advancement Consortium (TTAC) initiative and is not part of LaunchTN’s core operating budget. Continued employment beyond the initial term is contingent upon program performance and renewal of funding.
