Team: Partnerships & Ecosystems

About Napster:
Founded on the principle of democratizing access, first to music in 1999, now to expertise in the AI era, Napster has consistently remained at the forefront of technological shifts that empower users. Today, the company builds embodied, multimodal AI agents that engage employees and customers where they already work: through video presence, voice, and text. Designed to work alongside people rather than replace them, Napster’s agents carry institutional knowledge into every interaction, elevating the user’s experience and improving business outcomes. About the role
We’re building a global Commercial Enablement team that helps Napster’s sellers and partners use AI to demonstrate, build, and deliver AI solutions. We’re looking for a hands-on Forward Deployed Engineer who can turn ideas into working experiences—and give others the tools and confidence to do the same.
You will build reusable demos, agent-led enablement tools, and practical programs that help our commercial teams and partners move from a customer use case to a working prototype and a successful production deployment. In addition help to build out our automation layers and support smarter processes of how we work and execute internally within the Partnership organisation.
You’ll use both external AI development tools and Napster’s own platform and products to create these experiences, including solutions for partner events, and global Innovation Hubs.
Reporting line: Technology Partner Management, with a dedicated functional alignment to Commercial Enablement & Partner Experience.
This role is embedded within the Commercial Enablement motion and will work day-to-day with Commercial Enablement to define and deliver the technical tools, demos, environments and experiences needed to scale sellers and partners. Technology Partner Management provides technical leadership, engineering standards and professional development for the role.
We don’t just want to demonstrate our technology. We want to use it to power how we onboard, enable, and support our sellers and partners. That means building experiences such as agent-led onboarding, interactive asset portals, guided demo creation, and hands-on learning environments.
This is a builder-first role. You will write code, configure agents, integrate tools, test experiences, and work directly with sellers and partners. Success means more people can confidently demonstrate, prototype, and build with Napster—without requiring an engineer in every interaction.
How we build
You’ll use agentic coding tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, Lovable, and Codex alongside Napster’s own solutions to scope, prototype, and iterate quickly.
We embrace AI-assisted development and vibe coding, backed by strong engineering judgment. Moving fast does not replace understanding the code, testing behavior, protecting data, or making solutions maintainable.
We package what works into reusable templates, agent skills, integrations, MCP servers, and reference implementations. Every successful build should make the next one easier—not create another one-off experience that only its original developer can operate.
Responsibilities
- Build reusable demos and use cases. Create high-impact, brand-neutral demos that showcase Napster’s voice, real-time video, and embodied AI capabilities. Translate customer and partner scenarios into configurable experiences, with clear setup instructions, demo flows, and guidance that others can use independently.
- Create evaluation environments and hands-on build experiences. Develop and maintain environments where sellers and partners can explore our products, test ideas, and build prototypes. Provide starter projects, sample data, guided exercises, and clear paths from first experiment to a validated proof of concept.
- Engineer agent-led enablement tools. Advance our enablement platform and build tools such as agent-led asset portals, interactive onboarding, guided solution discovery, and demo-building assistants. Use Napster’s own technology wherever appropriate to make enablement more interactive, accessible, and scalable.
- Develop and deliver practical AI-building programs. Work with Commercial Enablement to create workshops, build-alongs, and partner co-creation sessions that teach people how to combine existing applications and Napsters solutions
- Adapt the experience to different levels of technical ability, helping sellers demonstrate confidently and technical partners build independently.
- Build reusable technical components. Create integrations, agent tools, MCP servers, knowledge and memory layers, custom front ends, and orchestration patterns that support repeatable use cases. Choose the simplest architecture that meets the need, introducing multi-agent approaches where they add clear value.
- Enable Napster Innovation Hub experiences. Build and validate interactive experiences for Napster Station, partner Innovation Hubs, and events. Package them with configuration guidance, testing procedures, and troubleshooting instructions so partner and deployment teams can operate them reliably.
- Support selected partner prototypes and reference deployments. Work with Technical Partner Managers, Partnership, Enablement, Product, and Engineering to scope integrations, establish success criteria, and validate high-value use cases. Turn successful work into reusable reference implementations, with a clear handover to the appropriate delivery or implementation team for bespoke production work.
- Build quality and responsible use into every experience. Test agent behavior, tool use, conversation quality, latency, and failure handling. Apply appropriate access controls, data handling, evaluation, and safety guardrails, clearly distinguishing experimental experiences from production-ready solutions.
- Drive adoption and improve what we build. Observe how sellers and partners use the tools, identify friction, and improve the experience. Feed gaps back to Product and Engineering, and work with Enablement to keep shared assets documented, current, and easy to discover.
What you bring
- 10+ years of experience with strong hands-on software engineering skills. You can build and debug working applications, connect APIs, manage authentication, and deploy maintainable solutions. You are comfortable working across front-end experiences, backend services, and cloud environments.
- Practical experience building with AI. You have created agentic applications or AI-enabled workflows and can explain your decisions around models, tools, context, retrieval, memory, and evaluation. Experience with real-time voice, video, or multimodal applications is valuable.
- An AI-native development workflow. You use AI coding tools to accelerate real work, while remaining accountable for the quality of the output. You can inspect, challenge, test, and improve AI-generated code—not just generate a convincing prototype.
- The ability to build with people, not just for them. You are comfortable running a hands-on session, explaining technical concepts clearly, and helping a partner work through a problem. You know when to demonstrate, when to co-build, and when to equip someone to continue independently.
- A product mindset and strong ownership. You think about usability, reuse, documentation, and adoption—not just whether something works on your machine. You can take an ambiguous request, define a practical first version, and iterate based on feedback.
What success looks like
Sellers can run compelling demos with confidence. Partners can use our starter kits to build their own prototypes. Agent-led tools make onboarding and finding the right resources easier. Innovation Hub experiences are reliable and repeatable.
Most importantly, the tools and programs you build allow more people to succeed with Napster without engineering support growing at the same rate.
