Meridian is the AI operating system for accounting firms, built by Pilot.
We built it the hard way, inside our own firm while closing more 200,000 months of books for more than 8,000 businesses. Along the way, we’ve worked through the odd vendors, miscategorized deposits and multi-currency messes that drag out a close. Today, Meridian brings that experience to other accounting firms.
It automates the full month-end close, from reconciliation, categorization, and accruals to tick-and-tie, so controllers walk in on the first of the month to review finished books, not build them. That changes the math for the whole practice. A firm that stops building the close can rebuild how it delivers the work and keep a lot more of every fixed fee.
The next challenge is helping firms put Meridian to work. Accounting is deciding what AI should and shouldn’t touch, with plenty of accountants who are skeptical. Our job is to show them what this looks like when it works, one close at a time.
That takes people who listen closely, understand the work and follow through. We’re still early in bringing Meridian to other firms. Joining now means helping shape the product, how firms adopt it and how we earn their trust.
Meridian is part of Pilot, backed by more than $170 million in financing from Sequoia, Index Ventures, Stripe, Bezos Expeditions, and Whale Rock.

The profile we’re hiring for is specific. You’re probably 3–8 years into your career. You’ve closed real deals against real quotas. You know what it feels like to have a pipeline problem and fix it yourself. You’re not waiting for leads to show up — you go get them.
You don’t need to have sold to accounting firms before, but if you have, that’s a meaningful edge. The buyer is sophisticated and the sales cycle is long enough that domain fluency pays off fast.
