Be the On-Site Therapist Changing How Schools Do Mental Health
You became a therapist to make an impact—let’s make that impact where it matters most. At Thrive Therapies, we place licensed mental health professionals in K–12 schools across under-resourced communities, because we believe every student deserves access to expert, compassionate support. We’re a mission-driven team partnering directly with schools to bring trauma-informed, evidence-based care into the school day—where it can change outcomes fastest.
Why Therapists Love Working with Us:
-Autonomy with support: Be the on-site clinical lead—own your schedule, referrals, and coordination loops—with access to consultation and case support.
-Predictable school-day hours: Align work with bell schedules; minimal evenings/weekends.
-Collaborative school teams: Partner with teachers, counselors, and administrators for whole-child support.
-Trauma-informed community: Shared tools, de-escalation strategies, and ongoing skills-based training.
-Resource library: Evidence-based protocols and templates so you never start from scratch.
Requirements:
-Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, or Marriage & Family Therapy.
-Tennessee license or provisional (e.g., LCSW/LMSW, LPC-MHSP/LPC temp, LMFT). Thrive provides required clinical supervision hours for eligible LMSW and provisional licensees toward independent licensure.
-Successful background check prior to start.
-School-based or community mental health experience preferred.
-Demonstrated commitment to culturally responsive, trauma-informed care and educational equity.
-Bonus: Fluency in a global language (e.g., Spanish, Somali, Arabic).
What You'll Do:
-Provide individual/group therapy using trauma-informed, evidence-based approaches.
-Stand up services as the clinician at your site: intake flow, scheduling, teacher outreach, and referral pathways.
-Coordinate with educators and families while protecting confidentiality and dignity.
-Track outcomes (attendance/engagement/goal progress) and document timely, accurate notes.
-Lead brief staff consults, wellness groups, or debrief sessions as needed.
Compensation:
1099: Starting at $32/hour, commensurate with experience.
What Makes Us Different:
We center clinicians who center kids. You’ll have the independence to lead your school-site program and the backing of a multidisciplinary team. We prioritize student dignity, staff partnership, and data-informed care - so you can see and show the difference your work makes.
Our Mission:
Thrive is on a mission to revolutionize the care of children with disabilities and those facing barriers to care. We provide results-driven services and intelligent tools to support children’s development, well-being, and health. At the heart of this mission are the people who change the trajectories of children’s lives. We work for them.
