Position Overview:

We’re seeking a motivated, results-driven Account Manager to own and grow a portfolio of existing customers—deepening relationships, increasing SaaS adoption/renewals, and expanding hardware placements. You’ll uncover client needs, craft solutions, and partner internally to deliver on outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own relationships with key accounts to drive satisfaction, retention, and long-term value.
  • Hit and exceed revenue targets via expansion, cross-sell, and software growth.
  • Proactively identify growth opportunities across hardware devices and SaaS modules.
  • Collaborate with Operations, Product, and Support to ensure delivery meets expectations.
  • Capture client feedback and market trends to inform product and GTM improvements.
  • Build crisp proposals and executive-ready presentations articulating Variable’s value.
  • Maintain accurate account plans, activities, and forecasts in our CRM; manage multiple priorities effectively.

Qualifications:

  • Entrepreneurial mindset with strong learning agility and problem-solving orientation.
  • 2–5+ years in account management or direct sales with a consistent record of hitting targets.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills; comfortable with senior stakeholders.
  • Relationship-first approach with demonstrated customer empathy and retention results.
  • Business acumen with analytical skills to quantify value and diagnose client challenges.
  • Familiarity with account planning, pipeline management and forecasting, and basic market research techniques.
  • High attention to detail; organized with strong follow-through.
  • Ability to travel for client meetings/events (<25%).
  • Bonus (nice-to-have): experience in coatings/print/manufacturing tech, instrumentation, or SaaS.

Compensation and Benefits:

  • Base salary range: $40,000 to $60,000, depending on qualified experience
  • Uncapped commission aligned to revenue growth
