About the Role
Whisper Aero is looking for a Product Manager to guide the development of products that utilizes its cleaner, quieter, more efficient air drives across a variety of defense, commercial aviation, and prosumer/industrial applications. Often this requires dealing with uncertainty and ambiguity with undefined requirements. The ideal candidate will serve as a guiding voice for the team, helping to execute market analyses, form product requirements documents, and interface externally with customers to develop products the world loves. They will work closely with the CEO, COO, Chief Engineer, and Head of Product to strategically mature products across product verticals and to identify product upgrades over time.
What You’ll Do
Execute market analyses with an ability to summarize results into pro formas
Write and execute product requirements documents (PRDs) and work with the engineering team to translate the voice of the customer into engineering requirements documents (ERDs)
Solicit feedback from customers and perform user experience studies to refine product requirements and direction
Formulate product strategies that leverage and reinforce the company’s technical advantages for future success
Basic Qualifications
B.S. or M.S. in a STEM related field with 3-7 yrs product-related experience
Strong experience in a dynamic product management role
Proven success in overseeing all elements of the product development lifecycle
High effectiveness in managing cross-functional teams
Experience in delivering finely tuned product marketing strategies
Exceptional writing and editing skills, combined with strong presentation and public speaking skills
Bonus Qualifications
Design experience with an eye for consumer
Demonstrated experience bringing air platforms from concept to flight
Demonstrated experience bringing consumer products from idea to volume sales
Experience in product marketing and copywriting with highly technical products
