Winter Innovations is a medical device startup developing simple tools for overlooked areas in orthopedic surgery to improve patient outcomes. Winter Innovations has developed a patented two-part needle technology that fundamentally changes how stitching can be performed. This technology is the basis of the company’s flagship product called EasyWhip®, a specialty suturing needle that will simplify and standardize “whip stitching” in ligament and tendon reconstruction surgery. EasyWhip™ received 510(k) premarket clearance from the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in May 2021.
