About The Role

As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer on our small and dynamic engineering team, you will play a dual role, supporting both the Product and Engineering teams. You'll not only be hands-on with coding but also responsible for setting up and managing vendors and contract resources to ensure we ship frequently, on time, and with continuous improvements.

You'll collaborate with Product to design and build data structures and system architecture, integrate various systems, and develop both front-end and back-end software applications. Additionally, you'll be involved in QA and performance testing to ensure our products meet the highest standards.

In your first 3 months, you will…

  • Successfully onboard and begin writing and deploying clean, efficient code. Design and implement scalable web services, applications, and APIs.
  • Partner closely with Product Management to identify bottlenecks in the development process and implement strategies to enhance engineering efficiency.
  • Begin establishing a pool of talented engineers and resources to support upcoming projects and ensure the team's long-term success.
  • Feel comfortable explaining our architecture and application

In your first 6 months, you will…

  • Collaborate alongside our lead engineer in designing and developing the architecture for new features. Participate in code reviews and organize the team for efficient feature implementation, while collaborating seamlessly with cross-functional teams.
  • Create comprehensive technical documentation for vendors and external consultants to ensure they can effectively contribute to the projects.
  • Attend your first offsite meeting to build stronger relationships with your team and align on long-term goals.
  • Will extensively be able to explain our architecture and suggest improvements.

In your first year, you will…

  • Successfully lead and deliver major projects that introduce multiple critical product features, demonstrating a deep understanding of technical architecture and project management.
  • Drive innovation in product development by introducing new technologies, methodologies, or technical strategies that enhance our products and elevate our technical capabilities.
  • Improve team efficiency by building and managing a high-performing external team. Provide valuable feedback on team dynamics, skill sets, and resource allocation to ensure optimal performance and adaptability to changing project needs.

Our ideal candidate…

  • Prior experience at a SaaS startup, contributing to the development and delivery of impactful products.
  • Has worked closely with product teams to ensure on-time and high-quality delivery. Demonstrates a proactive approach in sharing valuable product insights and opinions.
  • Is a strong communicator who can project manage outside vendors and contractors.
  • Proficient with front-end languages (React/Vue, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, JQuery) and writing back-end code in Node.
  • Database knowledge, specifically in MongoDB.
  • Nice-to-have experience: Heroku, Twilio, BullMQ, DNS, Infrastructure/DevOPs, Token based authentication.

Compensation And Benefits

  • $120,000-$150,000
  • Remote-first company
