Accountfully is seeking an Accounting Manager to join our Onboarding team in a fully remote opportunity. Our Accounting Managers have extensive accounting experience which they leverage to lead and expand client relationships.

What We’re Looking For in an Accounting Manager for Our Onboarding Team:

Our Accounting Managers lead client relationships and ensure their service level is matched to support the growth of a successful, profitable, and compliant business. They act as fractional CFOs to clients and bring a wealth of accounting advisory knowledge to the relationship. Our managers are well-prepared, professional, detail-oriented, and tech-savvy. They are relentless in their quest to find all opportunities for their clients to be successful; whether matching them with additional services or directing them toward professional resources as needed.

The mission for our Onboarding Team is simple, “Set up for Success.” The Department’s goal is to effectively and efficiently transition new clients and processes into our Account Team workflow. The Accounting Manager for this team must have the ability to execute without a roadmap to follow. When taking on new clients, the Onboarding Team is responsible for working with a client closely to gather all necessary information and help transition them into our process and work flows successfully. They will help to facilitate a smooth transition with the rest of the Accountfully service teams.

Our Accounting Managers Are Equipped To Manage The Following Areas Of Responsibility:

  • Own and grow client relationships:
  • Oversee and lead CFO-level client meetings.
  • Be proactive problem-solvers and advise clients on course corrections or alternate options as needed.
  • Be aware of, and responsible for client economics and profitability.
  • Upsell, offer knowledge and helpful solutions to strengthen and grow the relationship.
  • Work cross-departmentally to support client needs–always prioritizing professionalism and timely communication.
  • Management of team members:
  • Manage, train, and mentor direct reports.
  • Work delegation to Seniors and Staff.
  • Provide timely feedback and lead annual reviews.
  • Participate in recruiting and hiring as needed.
  • Driver and Manager of culture within their teams and firm-wide.

Our future Accounting Manager brings the following education and credentials to the role:

  • Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, economics, and/or finance.
  • 6-8 years of related experience.

Our Accounting Managers Bring the Following Accounting Skills and Experience:

  • CFO level expertise including high-level financial interpretation, forecasting, budgeting, and modeling acumen.
  • Financial close mastery.
  • Advanced systems knowledge: QuickBooks Online, Amazon, Shopify, Fathom, Cin7, etc.
  • Market trend awareness of small business economics, general accounting themes, etc.

Our Accounting Managers Bring the Following Leadership Skills and Experience:

  • Understands and manages utilization and staffing.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills and a strategic mindset.

Bonus Points If Our Accounting Manager Has:

  • Extensive client service and/or small business management experience.
  • Experience with startup companies.
  • Experience with Quickbooks Online.
  • Experience with Inventory Management Systems like Cin7 (FKA DEAR).
