The Manufacturing Engineer will collaborate with senior engineers to assist in developing manufacturing processes, implementing new manufacturing methods, and testing proposed processes / changes. Identification of manufacturing deficiencies and developing appropriate solutions related to materials, processes, and tooling is an essential function of the role.

Reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

1. Designs tools and machines used to manufacture products.
2. Reviews production program equipment, hardware, and tooling; makes recommendations for purchase, repairs, or replacement.
3. Involved in the development of new processes, methods, and production controls.
4. Installs new equipment and ensures that it operates correctly; trains others to operate new machinery.
5. Prepares operations manuals for new or existing equipment.
6. Maintains knowledge of new and developing manufacturing technology, equipment, and applications; applies this knowledge to recommend and implement new technology and processes.
7. Performs time studies and develops lean methodology to increase OEE in all areas of manufacturing including welding, robotic assembly, vacuum brazing and CNC machining.

6. Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to assess problems or issues with manufacturing equipment.
8. Extensive knowledge of production principles and techniques including welding (MIG and TIG), machining, and fabrication.
9. Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
10. Proficient with computer-aided drafting (CAD) software, Solidworks preferred.
11. Programming ability of robotic assembly and welding equipment preferred.
12. Experience with PLC programming, troubleshooting, and/or maintenance is desirable.
