The Regional Sales Manager is responsible for maintaining the territory likely between Minnesota through Ohio, Central parts of Canada with a minimum of 5 years of mechanical, plumbing, and/or, HVAC industry related experience.
The right candidate will be well-qualified to generate new business from residential wholesale distributors / manufacturers’ reps/ contractors as well as Energy Companies. You should plan to spend up to 60 percent of your time on the road working with these different segments of our business.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain lasting industry relationships with independent sales representatives, wholesale distributors, contractors, and prospective new clients.
- Develop and execute a business plan including opportunity, sales goals, and forecasts.
- Create, implement, and manage promotional plans including training seminars, regional trade shows, and wholesale distributor visits.
- Drive product adoption through product training, specification generation, quoting, and building code changes.
- Significant travel (up to 60%) is required
Experience and Requirements:
- Business degree in marketing or engineering preferred; Equivalent work experience considered
- Minimum of 5 years of mechanical / plumbing / HVAC industry related experience
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Power Point and Word
- Organized and detailed oriented
- Ability to operate in both a small business and corporate environment, including meeting corporate reporting deadlines
- A valid passport & ability to travel
- CRM experience preferred
